Personality
Circe while having a good heart can sometimes be a little rash. Growing up as a smaller viera male he was often teased by the larger males in foundation for being a runt. While he probably should have been watching his steps he would often run his mouth where it would get him into more than a couple of fights. In shorter terms he often writes checks his little ass can't cash. While he has a spunky spirit the veena is often one to step into the line of fire if he senses there is injustice being dealt. And more times than he can count he finds himself butting into a situation he probably shouldn't have.Aside from his short temper Circe is quite the trickster. He loves a good joke, and often times loves it when it's being played on someone else. With the Ananta they often will grow tired of the way that he plays tricks on them. Preferring the peaceful life over the tricks of the ivory gremlin.Once breaking through his walls he's actually a good conversation, but that's if you can make it that far. Circe has his walls built up pretty well behind his “fun” exterior. It's not uncommon for him to change the subject to something more lighthearted to avoid it becoming too deep.
i said "everything, i've built from nothing"
he said "don't you blame your problems on me"
Circe was born into the lower class of Ishgard. Growing up in Foundation with his mother the two found odd jobs around the city in order to survive. When Circe was old enough he found his calling, when watching a seer draw cards and found himself drawn to divination. He trained for several years at the Atheneum Arcaneum, leading up to the Ul'dahn Revolution him and mother decided to flee to Limsa to try and avoid the civil unrest. While in Limsa Circe kept up his practice with divination while finding himself drawn into the beauty of the Primals of Eorzea . Evenutally causing him to spend a lot of time in the Arcanist Guild. Once he researched enough Circe decided to set out on a journey to find the beast tribes around the continent to gain more knowledge of the great Primals. He spent many years with the Sylphs, who treated him with great treasures and kindness. (In their own way of course. Most mortals not being so fond of their tricks.) Circe learned of the Primal Ramuh and managed to catch a glimpse of him in action. Circe then traveled to O'Ghomoro to learn more about the Primal Titan. During his work for the Kobolds there was word of a creature resembling the great earth deity. He was sent on an investegation to Crystal Tower, but much to his dismay Phlegethon was not who the deity he was searching for. Though while searching the contents of the Crystal Tower he met someone who happened to catch his eye.G'raha while deadset on his mission was quite charming in their exploits of the tower. Circe took quite the liking to him. Getting closer and closer into what seemed to be a romatic relationship. His thirst for knowledge often rivaled by G'raha and his quest to know more. But it seemed as soon as they had met G'raha disappeared within the Tower. While Circe did not understand what had happened it being on a need to know basis. He expected to see the Miqo'te again one day.During the events prior to Shadowbringers Circe found himself working for the Ananta. Doing odd jobs and usch forr them while learning about the goddess Lakshmi. He managed to settle in to camp nearby, learning their culture. With the Garleans murdering the Broodmother's Daughter he found himself in more civil unrest, but coming closer to research of the Primal Lakshmi. While Circe wants no part in war he finds himself involved living with Vira.Upon the Vira reaching out to the Scions he comes in contact with a Warrior of Light. While at first the two didn't seem to see eye to eye with his carefree nature, and her “stern” exterior Circe and Valeska soon became friends. The two worked alongside the Vira to come in contact with the Primal Lakshmi. During the trials of Lakshmi Circe found himself drawn to another from the Scions, Arenvald. A kind Gladiator who seemed to be immune to the madness caused by the Primals same as Valeska. After parting ways with the Scions Circe decided to stay by Arenvalds side as the gladiator was recuited to elite anti-primal task force. Though things seemed to be looking up for the veena he is now getting some strange visitors while he sleeps...

“I finally found you “The voice low in volume struck clearly to the core of the viera. Standing roughly about 15 yalms across from Circe was a figure, glistening in the low light of the surrounding area. It wasn't organic, or at least seemed not be. With each refraction of light that passed it's form became more clear. Jagged edges, iridescent surface creating what was to be assumed it's skin. It stood about the same height as the ivory viera. It's shape jagged and crystalline. Pure white eyes piercing into Circe.Circe tried to make sense of where he was. Dim light bouncing off what appeared to be glass like walls. In the center of these off kilter perimeters was the creature. It slowly reached up with it's left hand and touched it's chest. The other hand reaching out to Circe almost as if it was trying to beckon him. As it opened it's mouth again light began pour out from the hole in it's face. When it's mouth began to move the crystals around opening began to break off and grind when making contact with the other surface. It's voice now echoed throughout the room, bouncing off the gem walls. Distorted, but understandable.“The moon is dead, but she still pulls on me“The hand that was reaching out to Circe from the creature returned and was placed on top of the other. Cradling the other hand on the figure's chest. It's mouth closed and light from it's eyes shone even brighter. It seemed to close it's eyes slightly, sparkling in the lights of it's eyes gems could be seen manifesting from the corners. As they began to form hastily the gems floated off into the airspace surrounding the figure. It opened it's mouth once more and the walls began to fracture, cracks running down them and light trickling through each gap.“Where have I been? Why can't you see me?”It's voice now frantic, still distorted but more emotional than the calm nature that it had once been. The walls continued to crack as the gems flowed from the creatures eyes. In an instant the cracked pieces of the glass walls plummeted to the floor below. There was now a blinding light launched itself into the dim room.Circe could now see the creature through the light. Rays bouncing off the opalescent surface of the crystal viera. Though rough in shape it could be seen that the form bore a striking resemblance to Circe. The male viera stood warily trying to get his footing. His hand reaching out for the opal viera.“They're in my sleep, my dreams, I see them. This is... the grande finale.”The floating gems began to shake in the air around the creature. The hand resting on top of the other reached out to Circe. The walls now completely shattering behind it. A clear vision of a white glowing moon enveloping the backdrop. It's rays showing every line and shape of the crystal viera. A smile creeping on it's face.“Look at me, I'm a...Before the last word could be uttered the gems shot forward with great intensity. Swirling around, the sharp edges and pure force just completely shredded flesh of the viera. Circe cried out in pain, but almost as quickly as it had begun he began to lose consciousness. Circe lost the strength to stand and hit the ground with a thud. Fading slowly into black he watched as the crystal creature approached him.*...The chill of the cold sweat on Circe's brow sprung him from the cot he was sleeping on. He looked around the Ananta camp and everyone around him was still in a deep slumber. He tried to recollect what had just happened but only bits and pieces were able to be put together. Circe reached up and wiped the sweat as he laid back down trying to make sense of what he had just seen.
A sea of stars spread across the horizion. Platform of a stony exterior held Circe, standing in front of him was the crystal viera from before. The viera knelt before the inorganic creature, palms pressed into the stone as he looked up in confusion. The crystal viera tilting it's head slightly as it looked down upon Circe. Raising it's hand it rested it's chin on the top of it's hand. A smirk spread across the expression of the jeweled rabbit.“My moon, oh, my moon“It's voice echoed through the hollow air, distorted cracking as it reached him. When it spoke chills ran across his skin as goosbumps formed. This wasn't a fear, it was unsettling, unnerving, the voice brought all kinds of questions flooding to Circe's mind. What was it? Why was it contacting him? Where were they? But he knew very well that none of those questions would be answered in this encounter. With a swift move the arms of the jeweled being spread wide. It's head falling back as it looked straight up into the starry abyss.“I'm getting quite tired of watching you try to flee this existence. To the point where... you... can't ev...”The voice began to break of the crystal being. Not because of the of the creature, but Circe was not able to make out what it was saying. This distortion was affecting his attention. Although it's volume was clear to Circe it spoke lowly. He wasn't sure if it was the distortion, but it almost sounded as if the creature was whispering.
“Begin again. Begin again. Begin again “It's jeweled skin began to crack from the top of it's roughly shaped ears, slinking down to it's eye socket as each crack veined off into a different direction. It opened it's mouth to speak once more holding one arm in front of it. Crystals began to form from the wrists of the creature. Two long slender curved extremities constructed from it. Shaping what seemed reminiscent of a bow.“I will surround you and give life to a world that's our own.”The crystal skin of the creature began to crack off. What could be seen beneath it's face fragments that were breaking off was the same white eyes and a deep red mask surrounding it. Though only small pieces were detaching from the face gradually a form could be made. “*“I understand ...'ve chosen this form, but... that we are one. One with the... sta...” ***It spoke in fragments.“We are... Shemhazai“☆ ☆ ☆As if by design Circe sprung forward. Dead of night, everyone around him slumbering. Drenched in what he assumed was his own sweat he tried to recollect what had just transpired. The only thing that stuck out to him was a name. What did it mean? Who were they? Why were they trying to contact him? Questions needed to be answered, but where would he search for them...?
“Look I'm getting really sick of these encounters. Can you just let me have a good nights sleep for once?”The ivory viera rested his chin on his knuckle as he narrowed his opal eyes at the behemoth of a creature that stood across from him. The surrounding area was just an endless expanse of stars and galaxies. The esper across from him also narrowed her eyes at the veena's words. She tilted her head as she sighed.“There's a timeline to all this mortal. I understand that it's beyond your grasp, but I too would just like to control your body so I can achieve my goals.”** Shemhazai raised her hand and placed it on mask where her forehead would be. As she moved her head the rings resting along her two horns jingled in the endless abyss that surrounded them. **“Believe me what I wouldn't have given to have gotten a stronger vessel.”Circe's brows furrowed as she called him weak. His right fist tightened as he pointed to the esper. “Look here, I didn't ask for this, didn't want you here. So if you're unhappy with what you got why don't you just leave.” The anger was evident in his voice. His temper was once again showing through, something that often got the smaller viera into loads of trouble. And this situation was no different. In the blink of an eye Shemhazai disappeared from view. The twinkling stars were the only thing left surrounding him. Or at leas that is what he assumed.A presence could be felt looming over him from behind. Before he could turn to see the figure he was lifted swiftly into the air. Her hands holding the viera by the throat. His tiny form seemed so weak before the otherworldly creature. Circe's legs dangled as he reached up for her hand to release the grip of his throat. Shemhazai spoke lowly almost as a whisper.“Look here boy, I am the only reason you have made it this far. I am Shemhazai, the whisperer. Sagittarius incarnate. Without me you are nothing but a fleck of dust. Do not forget that I allow you to live.”Circe's pale face began to turn red as he struggled to breathe. A voice rang out into his ears as a gentle caress of something beyond the veil touched his cheeks. The sound faintly was made out. 'Water sustains. Water brings life' He heard in a familiar voice. But in his frantic state of mind he could recognize it completely. The words though, they were what he needed. Circe reached down to his sleeve of cards, pulling one out. “Famfrit.” He managed to get out, before the card started to glow with a bluish teal aura. All at once a condensed stream of rushing water barreled at Shemhazai, she disappeared before being struck with the water. Circe's body hit the ground, he began to cough with a raspy voice as he pulled another card. “I call upon Famfrit, the Cloud of Darkness. Aquarius, wash away the sins of the Whisperer.” The card then twinkled and exploded into a thousands of tiny star lights before once again a rushing tube of water swirled around him and Shemhazai. He raised one finger and pointed it at the esper. The swirling water was hurled at her exploding upon impact. Beams of light shot out from the creature as she burst into particles. The surrounding cosmos shook violently as Circe was flung from the dream.
☆ ☆ ☆Circe reached for his throat as he coughed violently. He scanned the area and once again he was in his tent at the Peering Stones. Shemhazai was no where to be seen, but he knew that once he drifted into sleep she would be back. Next time he wondered how far she would go...
